Hello fellow fractalist.

It's been a long time since the official Apophysis was released. The latest official released was Apophysis 2.09 in the year of 2009. Since then, Official Apophysis developer was on a vacum and the development of Apophysis was taken over by Xyrus-02 with his Apophysis7x. It has many feature that original Apo didn't have, such as integration with chaotica, and many bug fixes and tweaks.

But now, the development of the new official Apophysis will be start again with the come back of one of its developer, utak3r. It will be a brand new Apophysis 3! :w00t: The development is still on the very early state and utak3r need our input about what you want to see on the brand new Apophysis 3.

So, go to utak3r's journal and give him your idea about how the brand new Apophysis 3 should look like.

go go go go! :eager:

And I forget.

Parallel Render. Cpu+Gpu use at same time in render

Thanks and Greetings

1) Support For Gpu Render, Cuda or OpenCl, (GpuFlam and Fractal Frost work very fast with Gpu Render Cuda. But on real and final fractal quality, Apophysis is very better software).

2) Complete and better fast, 64 Bits version. 7X 64 bits is very, very low than normal 32 bits version.

3) Complete Real support for Multicore Computer Systems. (No hiperthreading. Complete Support for Real Multicore processors without hiperthreading).

Example 1: I have a Opteron Dual Motherboard with 2 x Dual Core Proccesors, (4 proccesors total). Render apophysis is more Slow if put 4 htreading than if put 2 ...
Example 2: Friend, have a Xeon Dual Motherboard with 2 x Quadcore Proccesors X5460, ( Total 8 real Cores at 3166Mhz). Render is more Slow if put 8 htreading than if put 4....

I supossed, this option is not for multicore, is for processors with Hiperthreading. Opteron Dual Core or X5460 Quadcores, no support Hiperthreading...

In new 7x 64 Bits Apophysis, Support Multicore appears is correct. Select 8 cores are more fast than use 4 cores in option threading with X5460... But the problem is, 7X 64 bits is a very slow version, render is very slow, very slow than other 7X or original Apophysis versions.

Thanks And Greetings for your work and your attention.

Great news. Apophysis 7x is awesome as hell, but still looking forward to the new version.

Ah, here's one, how about making Apophysis 3 more user friendly?

Like for example: PLUG IN'S! Pain's in the bum they are, you need so many for some tutorials and half of them don't work when installed, due to being out of date, or some other error, would be nice if all these needed things were already installed for easier access to the more gorgeous possibilties :)

I vote for hardware acceleration.
