Submissions and Your Inbox

Journal Entry: Wed Jan 13, 2010, 9:53 AM

Hello everyone!

Just stopping to give you an update on how things are going. I've seen recently that quite a few of you are a)displeased on how many submissions we are sending out and b)frustrated on how long we are taking to accept your submissions. For both, I apologize. We are trying to work out a system of submitting that gets your submissions seen, but not spamming our watchers and members inboxes.

DeviantArt is working on trying to get the submission process and the inbox issue more streamlined so that we can hopefully accomplish both. It will take them some time to get it fine tuned, so please be patient. We have 502 full members and over 4,000 watchers. We're trying to work with all of you.

Again, the submission process is limited to 2 pieces per account per month. This means that if you have submitted your 2 for January, please do not submit more to the gallery. Put them into collections. We try not to allow anyone to overstep the limit, and each piece you submit that is over that limit costs us extra time on submitting. We try to go through and check every submission that comes through, and check them also in our gallery to make sure it's fair for everyone. Yes, we miss some things. We're glad if you see things that we missed, and you tell us about it.

We also read all notes that come in. We also try to respond to all of them, but sometimes there is nothing we can respond to in any kind of quickness. I've seen more than one "unsubscribe" note come in, due to one or another of the issues I mentioned above. If you wish to unsubscribe, that is your choice, and also your responsibility. If you no longer want to see this group with submissions and journals, unwatch us, or just go into your watch permissions and uncheck the deviations and journals boxes. That should take care of it for you.

I hope this has answered some of your questions, and if you have any concerns, please leave them here. Thanks for all your input and patience.

That was Zen, but this is Tao.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before !

I`m a beginner & I just got interested in learning fractal art its all because of DA =Moonchilde-Stock. well anyways, does the software need complex mathematical computation? do I need to study algebra, geometry, calculus & algorithm?

Nope, not at all. Most of the interface is graphical. Though math will help you predict how a fractal will change as you manipulate it and also allow you to get more specific results, it is by no means necessary.

:icongarret-b:
This is really late lol just saw this but just in case yea u just have to put it in the Apo 2.02 folder and run it from there, took me a while to figure out i had to run it from that folder lol
:iconarcticpheonix:
yeah, no kidding. I had the same problem. Took me forever to figure out that it needed to be in the 2.2 directory to work properly.
