Hello dear fractalist. ~guagapunyaimel is here. I'd love to discuss something with you all.

I love my art just like any other artist of any genre of art. It's beatiful, it's genious, it's briliant. But sometimes this feeling came to my mind: why am i doing this fractal thingy anyway? Some people that i've been interviewed said that they feel relax when they doing fractals, it's like a way of mediatation to them. Some said that they were fascinated by the complex detail of fractal, the intricated endless pattern that they can see all over the space.

For me, i'm doing fractal because i love art. that's the main reason. the second is that i can't draw cool things that i saw with my hand. well i can draw, but i think it's not that original and not really good. So when i found out about fractal, i feel like this is the best medium for me to pour my passion in art. I can create a beautiful image with fractal by just playing around with buttons and numbers without having to have a magical hand. Button is my brush, monitor is my canvas, and pixel is my paint. But after some point i get the feeling that this 'why' is not enough for me as an artist. For me, an art is nothing if they don't have social impact. And this far i still haven't got any idea what's fractal art impact to the social world. Or mybe it's just me who can't feel the impact? or maybe my art has influenced many people but i just didn't realize it? I don't know. the fact is that right now i still haven't found my 'why' on fractaling.

Do we really need the 'why' on doing something? well i say 'Yes'. The only thing that i believe didn't need a 'why' is love. any other things in this world need its 'why'. "well there you already have your answer. you love to fractaling, so you didn't need the 'why'. you just love to do it and that's all you need". No no no no. that's not my point. well yes i love fractal art. that's the reason i doing it all this time. but i need another 'why'. we need the 'why'.
